Six 3.5mm stereo Jack Plugs were ordered which I have previously compained about, as they were unusable, assorted faults including tips which were loose and not connecting reliably to its solder tag, and shafts that were bent and likely to damage any socket it was inserted into. You correctly replaced them and on initial inspection the replacements looked better and were installed. However yesterday, the equipment that had been working, stopped working. On examination again I found the tip of two plugs were not making reliable contact to its solder tag (holding the plug by its barrel you can turn the tip), and in one instance I was able to pull the tip clean from the rest of the plug. That could have been a serious problem if it had become detatched inside the equipment. I realise these were cheap, but they were not intended for for use in a super Hi-Fi system. Nevertheless they should have been fit for purpose. As I said in my original message this is a manufacturing fault. I am afraid I will be sourcing replacements from another supplier.
