Alvik is a compact, cross-disciplinary tool designed to make robotics education accessible, bridging the gap between foundational learning and advanced technological applications. Its pocket-size build and robust design make it adaptable for classrooms, labs, and home use, providing a versatile learning experience.
Equipped with integrated sensors such as line-follower, color, ToF distance, ambient light, a 6-axis gyroscope, and an accelerometer, Alvik allows students to explore physics, mathematics, and programming through real-world applications. Powered by the Arduino Nano ESP32 microcontroller, it supports Arduino and MicroPython environments, making programming approachable for beginners and versatile for advanced learners. High-precision encoder motors enable projects like autonomous navigation, line following, and obstacle avoidance, helping students develop problem-solving skills and apply concepts in math and geometry.
Alvik's rechargeable, replaceable battery design supports extended learning sessions and reduces long-term costs. The device is compatible with LEGO Technic connectors, M3 screws, and Grove/QWIIC plug-and-play connectors, making it easy to expand projects with external sensors and components.
The kit offers 19 project-based lessons covering hardware, software, and real-life applications, preparing students for real-world challenges by building skills in critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration. Initially supporting MicroPython, Alvik will soon add block-based programming and Arduino C.
