The Arduino Edge Control is designed for precision farming, smart agriculture, and remote applications requiring intelligent control. It supports flexible power options, accepting either solar panel or DC input for adaptable placement in various locations. For remote monitoring and control, the Edge Control connects to the Arduino Cloud or third-party services through a range of connectivity options, including built-in Bluetooth. Additional connectivity like 2G/3G, CatM1, NB-IoT, LoRa, Sigfox, and WiFi can be added via MKR boards, ensuring compatibility with specific site requirements.
Capable of connecting to sensors and driving actuators such as latching valves, the Arduino Edge Control provides real-time monitoring across processes, which helps in minimizing production risks. Specifically suited to smart agriculture, it collects data on weather, soil quality, crop growth, and other metrics. Once synced to the Arduino Cloud, this data can be analyzed for insights that support operational decisions in areas like crop yield, equipment efficiency, and resource management.
The Edge Control improves crop quality and reduces manual effort by automating essential tasks such as irrigation, fertilization, and pest control.
