Digital Temperature Adjustable Desoldering Rework Station 140W

This desoldering tool works really well. The documentation is minimal and lacks important information about what temperature to set the tool to. 350C works well for removing through hole components. It takes a bit of practice to melt the solder joint, moving the tip from side to side on the joint to ensure good solder flow and then activate the vacuum trigger. For larger joints it helps to flow the joint with a soldering iron and remove solder with a normal desolder pump before using the rework station. The nozzle can get blocked fairly easily if a lot of solder is sucked from a joint, so it’s important to clean the nozzle with the provided tool every few joints.
All in all I’m very pleased with this. Probably the best addition to my home workshop in recent times.
