MCP23S17-E/SP - I/O Expander, 16bit, 10MHz, Serial, SPI, 1.8V to 5.5V, DIP-28

The MCP23S17 16-Bit I/O Expander is the SPI equivalent of the MCP23017 I2C 16-Bit expander. This device is ideal for microcontrollers lacking a hardware I2C interface, and bit banging one is unacceptable, or where a higher data throughput is required. The 0.1" pin spacing of this component make it easy to use on breadboards, perf boards and matrix boards.
