The Portenta Breakout Board is designed for hardware engineers and makers to streamline prototyping and testing with Portenta family boards, such as the Portenta H7. It provides individual access to all high-density connector signals, making it easier to connect, test, and evaluate external components and devices during lab development.

The board supports various applications, from rapid prototyping to industrial-grade product development. With compatibility for the OpenMV Global Shutter Camera Module, it enables quick machine vision application development within the Portenta ecosystem. In educational settings, it offers a practical entry point for training in industrial control and embedded systems.

Key features include a power-on button, a boot mode DIP switch, and connectors such as USB-A, RJ45 (up to 1Gb/s), and Micro SD for expanded functionality. The board also includes a MIPI 20T JTAG connector with trace capability, an external power terminal block, and a CR2032 lithium battery backup for RTC. All Portenta high-density connector signals are broken out, allowing easy access for debugging.

The Portenta Breakout Board follows the standard Portenta high-density connector pinout, ensuring compatibility and simplifying setup for industrial, educational, and prototyping use cases.
